We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as a baseline standard. This site is built with semantic HTML, keyboard-navigable menus and forms, visible focus states, descriptive link and image text, and a "skip to main content" link on every page for keyboard and screen-reader users.
Specific measures on this site include:
- Semantic landmark regions (header, navigation, main content, footer) on every page
- Visible focus outlines on all interactive elements, including links, buttons, and form fields
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers
- Form fields with associated labels
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background in our primary content areas
- A keyboard-operable mobile menu, language toggle, and listing filters
Accessibility audit (last run: July 3, 2026). We ran a code-level audit covering color contrast, form labeling, image alternative text, and heading structure across every page. Two real issues were found and fixed: our muted "faint" text color and our gold call-to-action buttons didn't meet the WCAG AA 4.5:1 contrast minimum at their actual resting state — both have been darkened to pass. We also added missing accessible labels to the search and filter controls on the Listings page.
One minor, known item remains: our footer's small column headings ("Group," "Listings," "Newsletter") are marked up at a heading level that skips past one level from the page's main content — a technical heading-order imperfection that doesn't block screen-reader navigation but isn't fully spec-clean. We plan to correct it in a future update.
This was a code-level audit, not a live screen-reader or automated scanning-tool pass (e.g. axe, WAVE, or manual testing with VoiceOver/NVDA) — we haven't done that yet. Some third-party embedded content — including Google Maps and our Calendly scheduling widget — is provided by outside services and may not fully meet the same standard; we've chosen providers with reasonable accessibility support, but we don't control their code directly.
If you encounter a barrier using this site, or need information in an alternative format, please contact us — we want to know about it and will do our best to help directly, and to fix the underlying issue.
